Annie is a seasoned executive with a distinguished career spanning several key Commonwealth Government agencies, including Central Agency SES leadership experience. She has an exemplary leadership record, having charted the strategic direction for large organisational groups.

Annie is outcome-focused, with strong business acumen and a commitment to good governance. She ensures that systems and processes support regulatory effectiveness. A recognised leader of transformational business and ICT change, Annie has a strong record of delivery over more than 20 years and has successfully steered the resolution of sensitive and complex issues with key stakeholders. Annie has comprehensive experience and strengths in strategy, corporate, and service delivery operations, including finance, digital technology, people and culture, risk management, governance, regulatory compliance, and complaints management.

As the Chief Operating Officer at the Australian Financial Security Authority (ASFA), Annie commissioned a review into integrity policy and processes, and oversaw the implementation of improvements to strengthen integrity, fraud, ethics, conflicts of interest, and internal and external complaints processes. Additionally, Annie has held extensive senior executive positions across the Australian Commonwealth Public Service, including DFAT Assistant Secretary for Budget and Policy Branch, Shared Services Branch and Financial Services and Transformation, General Manager at the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources, and Assistant Secretary at the Department of Finance.

Qualifications


Annie holds a Masters of Financial Technology, Masters of Technology, Masters of Taxation, and a Bachelors of Commerce (Accounting), is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA®), and a Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant (FCPA). Annie is also an active member of the Australian Computer Society Senior (MACS) as a Certified Professional, and a Professional Member of the Australian HR Institute.
