Gog’s skill set includes highly-specialised areas like criminal intelligence, negotiation, budgeting, management, and defence operations. He has made significant contributions to assurance review teams at both state and commonwealth levels. Notably, in 2020-21 Gog led efforts to establish and implement policies and practices aimed at preventing the spread and mitigating the impact of the covid-19 virus and the global pandemic.
Gog is a widely certified and highly-experienced senior assurance reviewer with a specialised focus on a wide range of government sectors, departments, and agencies. His expertise covers public health, public and private hospitals, health services, pandemic management, regulatory compliance, defence, immigration, and criminal intelligence assurance reviews. Gog has received several accolades, including the ACCRM Distinguished Service Award in 2014, the SERCO Award for Interagency Cooperation in 2013, the Centenary Medal for Contribution to Rural Medicine in 2003, the Australian Active Service Medal in 2009, the Afghanistan Medal in 2009, the NATO ISAF Medal in 2009, and the Australian Defence Medal in 2012.
Gog holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), is a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, a Fellow of the Royal Australian College General Practitioners, an A/Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Service Management, and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), and is an accredited Gateway Assurance™ reviewer.
