Initiation
Our business case consulting team ensures a controlled business case initiation by analysing and synthesising key artifacts, defining the scope of a specific business case, defining roles and responsibilities, starting the project-on-a-page correlation, initiating the product register development, and developing a high-level schedule for the first delivery tranche(s).
Kick-off
Our time-boxed approach accelerates the business case process through a series of workshops and refinement sessions. We begin with an all-hands kick-off workshop, followed by in-depth discussions with project leads to refine the project-on-a-page, product register, and initial schedule. Finally, we deliver an executive playback session to summarise our findings and key recommendations.
Framing
We collaborate closely with the business case owner to finalise the framing of the business case, which includes defining and agreeing upon the critical elements for success. We then work together to populate these agreed-upon elements, building out the business case to include products, CPA® accredited cost-benefit analysis and financial analysis, any piloting outputs, benefits analysis, and a preferred approach or option. This comprehensive process ensures that the business case is well-structured, informative, and compelling.
Transition
Our team facilitates a comprehensive handover process to ensure a seamless transfer of ownership for the developed business case. This process includes a formal workshop where we provide detailed guidance and support to the business team, equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively manage and utilise the business case. We also conduct a thorough walkthrough of the business case, explaining its key components, assumptions, and implications in a clear and concise manner. This ensures that the business team has a complete understanding of the business case and is well-prepared to take ownership and drive its implementation.
